Hello Everyone!
We have reached $200,000!
This is an incredible milestone, and I still can’t quite believe that so many people have supported The School of the Heart. Thank you to everyone who has already joined the campaign, left a comment, shared the project, or simply followed its development. For me, this is a great joy and a very important sign that I can continue bringing new ideas into the world.
And we have unlocked a new stretch goal: all companion books will now be printed with a hardcover, and the cover will also feature foil stamping.
Today, I would like to share a new card from the deck with you:
Card 170.
This cube, an equal-sided square,
Does well, in emblem form, declare
The temper of a virtuous mind,
Whose firm resolve no change can bind.
For as the cube, wherever it is placed,
Still rests in one firm, steady state,
And still appears the same in form and size,
No matter on which side it lies;
So those well formed by the Word divine,
And shaped by virtuous discipline,
Will keep, though changes twist and wind,
The form and firmness of an honest mind.
If fortune casts them down so low,
Where their own weight and others’ too must bear,
And there for many years must lie,
Oppressed by disrespect or poverty,
They keep the place assigned to them,
And bear their lot with a constant mind.
If fortune moves them from that place,
And sets them high in worldly prosperity,
They keep the square of honest dealing,
And in the same integrity remain;
Not longing for vain wealth or false esteem,
Nor being any other than they seem.
Although by nature we are very hard,
Lord, shape us into stones like these;
Then place us in your spiritual temple so,
That into one firm structure we may grow;
And when, by your grace, we are fitted thus,
Dwell in us yourself, forevermore.
Symbolism of the Card
At the center of the card is a cube, a form with equal sides. However it is turned, it preserves its geometry, proportions, and stability. In the emblematic tradition, the cube becomes an image of constancy, honesty, and inner wholeness.
The light descending from above points to a higher order, grace, and spiritual alignment. The cube’s stability is connected with inner law, discipline, and fidelity to one’s own nature.
The ruined buildings and the figures beside them recall the changeability of earthly circumstances: position, wealth, recognition, and outer support.
In the lower left, a fleeing shepherd can be seen, with animals lying nearby. Together with the smoke, the ruins, and the dark soil, this scene speaks of sudden trials, the loss of familiar support, and the changeability of the outer world.
The small stone or fragment below continues the central image of the card: even among uneven ground, there remains a point of support and the possibility of becoming part of a firmer structure.

New Stretch Goals Unlocked + A Closer Look at Card 109

Hello everyone!
The campaign has reached new stretch goals, and I wanted to share a little more about the decision behind the next addition.
Over the past few days, I have been carefully reading your comments, messages, and suggestions. I truly appreciate how deeply you are engaging with this project and how much attention you are giving to the materials, usability, durability, collectibility, and tactile feeling of the deck.
I am really trying to hear every voice. At the same time, not every wish can simply be added to the project without consequences. Every change in materials, rewards, production, or packaging affects the timeline, shipping weight, logistics, costs, and quality control.
So I spent a lot of time thinking about the best solution — one that would preserve the original vision of School of the Heart while also answering the request from those who would like a more practical version of the deck for frequent use.
The main collector’s deck will remain as originally planned: tactile, book-like, and close in feeling to the historical source.
As an additional option, I am adding the Daily-Use Deck with Linen Finish — a separate version for those who want to work with the cards more often, shuffle them, handle them every day, and use them more freely.
This allows me to keep the original concept of the main deck intact, without making the entire production process too risky or complicated, while still giving backers an additional choice.
Thank you so much for your support, your ideas, and your attention to every detail. It is very important to me not simply to “add more,” but to make decisions that truly improve the project without putting production at risk.
I would also like to begin sharing individual cards from the deck in more detail.
Every few days, I will choose one card from School of the Heart and tell you more about its motto, symbolism, and poetic guidance. This way, you can get to know the deck from the inside — not only as a visual object, but as a system of images, questions, and counsel.
Today, I would like to share Card 109.
Good hopes are best accomplished
by laboring in a constant way.
Some people there are — and I suppose
that I myself may pass for one of those —
who likely begin many businesses,
yet bring very few of them to an end.
To prevent such folly, perhaps
this Emblem has appeared here
in a lucky hour.
For, as to draw a circle with our hand,
we make the brass compass stand
with one foot firmly fixed upon the ground,
and move the other in a steady round,
so, when we plan to proceed
in any just and profitable deed,
we first must, by a constant resolution,
stand firm in what we put in execution.
And then, with perseverance, labor out
the workings we are employed about.
For we must choose, with constant liking,
those businesses we intend to effect;
or else our time, our labor, and our cost
will often be in vain, or wholly lost.
With constant labor, too, we must follow
the things we have resolved to do;
or else our hopes will never be effected,
however wisely we have projected.
Long journeys I abhor; yet otherwise
I mean a furlong, and perform a mile.
I greatly fear long labors to begin;
yet some I finish, once I have entered in.
And if, in labor, I grow more constant,
you shall see hereafter how I improve.
Card Symbolism
The compass is the central symbol of the card. One foot remains fixed while the other moves in a circle: in any great undertaking, we need both a firm point of support and continuous movement.
The circle represents completion. It shows the ability to bring what has been started into a whole and finished form.
The hand emerging from the cloud suggests a higher order or a form of instruction. It shows the principle by which results are born from measure, labor, and constancy.
The stars and the moon represent hopes, distant goals, and time. Higher aspirations take shape through concrete work.
The figures on the left are observers and students. They receive the emblem as a lesson that can be carried into one’s own life.
Thank you so much for helping this project grow! More card stories are coming soon.
Warmly, Una
Five Times Funded in 24 Hours — Thank You!

Dear friends!
I am still trying to find the right words. In the first 24 hours, The School of the Heart passed a milestone I honestly could not even imagine when I was preparing this campaign. We reached the funding goal five times over! I am deeply, deeply grateful. I am still a little in shock, and I keep thinking about how I can truly thank you — not only with words, but by making this edition more beautiful, more durable, and more special for everyone who has joined the project.
Because of this incredible first day, we have already reached several stretch goals.
Unlocked stretch goals
1. Colored matte card edges for the main deck
The cards in the full 200-card oracle deck will now have colored edges. These will not be foil edges, but matte brown edge coloring, chosen to match the historical feeling of the project and to be more durable in use. Since this is edge coloring rather than foil, it should not rub off in the same way metallic foil can.
2. Foil stamping on the companion book cover
3. Digital wallpapers
I will also prepare digital wallpapers for desktop and phone, using images and details from The School of the Heart.
More stretch goals are coming soon. I am carefully reading your comments and thinking about what can make this edition even more meaningful.
A special community gift
Now begins a very important moment for the campaign: helping the project travel further.
I decided to prepare a special gift for everyone who shares the project on social media: a bracelet with a Latin motto from Emblem 19.
The phrase is:
Lente sed attente
Slowly, but attentively
It inspires me to keep moving forward, step by step, even when the horizon is not visible. And then, later, to look back and wonder how it was possible to come so far.
For those who may be concerned about the metal: the bracelet is made from stainless steel and is nickel-free and lead-free.
If you share the campaign, you will be able to receive this personal bracelet as a thank-you gift. To confirm your share, simply save a screenshot and later, when filling out the survey, submit the link or screenshot in the form.
And if we reach one of the upcoming community goals, every physical backer will receive a metal bookmark with an ornament inspired by decorative elements used in printed books of that era.
With gratitude,
Una

Dear friends,
I’m still trying to fully believe it: The School of the Heart reached its funding goal in less than 50 minutes.
Thank you so much to everyone who came to the project at the very beginning. This means that the deck is officially happening, and now we can make it even more beautiful together.
The first stretch goals are already close. Some of them will be funding goals: they will allow me to improve the physical edition of the project and add special details to the final version. I have also prepared community goals connected to sharing the campaign: if enough people help spread the word, we will be able to unlock new bonuses and small gifts for backers.
I’m carefully reading the comments and following your questions and suggestions. The next goals will be shaped with your wishes in mind.
Every pledge and every share helps this old book find new readers.
